Brown: 2012 – 2013 Men’s College Squash Season Preview

Providence, RI — There will be lots of new faces in the Brown line-up this season. “We are a young team with four freshmen playing in the top 9,”  explains head coach Stuart le Gassick. The new players are expected to play in the lower two-thirds of the starting line-up. They are Foster Hoff (McDonogh School), John Blasberg (Exeter), Oliver Booth (St. Ann’s), and Michael Snower (Detroit Country Day).  Last season the Bears finished 16th in the nation, though they had a rough go of it at the National Team Championships, winding up 8th in the B Division. The new players will help the team move up into contention for the B Division title. “The team are really looking forward to the season and the ability to work hard, have fun, and get into the top half of the Hoehn Cup in 2013,” says le Gassick. Former Cornell standout Chris Sachvie will be joining the program as assistant coach.
