Nashville, TN — Don’t worry, Vandy squash fans: the Commodores may have graduated their top three players from last season, but they are restocking the order with four new players expected to play in the top 5. All four newcomers bring previous squash experience with them. Lizzy Ross joins the team from Groton Academy, and Lizzie Ayoub is a Noble and Greenough alumna. Lindsey Kelt and Emily Bernsten both come to Nashville via the Middlesex School. The Commodores are planning to travel to a tournament at UVA, and their goal for the season is to advance women’s squash at Vanderbilt. Hannah Elbaum and Vicky Coussa, who played back-to-back in the line-up at the 2012 Women’s National Team Championships, will co-captain the team this year. There’s more good news on the horizon for Vanderbilt squash. “Our courts will be renovated this coming May,” Elbaum announces.
