Connecticut College: 2012 – 2013 Women’s College Squash Season Preview

New London, CT — Connecticut College moved up a division last season, competing in the C Division after finishing as Epps Cup runners-up the year before. Five players who competed at last season’s Women’s National Team Championships have graduated, creating spaces throughout the line-up. Luckily, the team will have three new first-year players: Ashley Arthur of Taft, Alexis Ditomassi of Loomis Chaffee, and Clare Young of Santa Monica High School. Caroline Sargent, a rising sophomore who played #1 for Conn before being sidelined by an injury, will be back in the line-up as well. Even though the Camel squad will be fairly young, they will be able to draw on the steadying wisdom of Allie Hibbs, Becca Markson, and Sara Krivoshik, their three senior captains. Another plus for the team are renovated locker rooms with audio visual equipment. Head coach Chris O’Brien characterizes the team as “truly a dedicated and committed group of ladies looking to have a great year.”
