Hanover, NH — At the 2011 Men’s College Squash Individual Championships, the Molloy Cup (“B” Division) round of 32 featured Adrian Leanza (Brown) and Tom Mullaney (Harvard).

The match between Leanza and Mullaney was a tale of two players at opposite ends of their college squash careers.  Mullaney, a first-year, had an impressive opening campaign. He played at the number 7 position for the majority of the season and had a record of 12-5.  Leanza, a senior, played number 1 for Brown. He concluded the season with 9-10 record and was a finalist for the 2011 Skillman Award.

In the Molloy Cup, the two players battled back and forth in games and points that lasted forever. Despite losing the first two games, Leanza remained motivated. He came back and won the final three games to advance to the round of 16 (11-13, 8-11, 11-1, 11-3, and 11-9).
