Hanover, NH — At the 2011 Women’s College Squash Individual Championships, the Ramsay Cup (“A” Division) quarterfinals featured Catalina Pelaez (Trinity) and Millie Tomlinson (Yale).
Pelaez and Tomlinson were both first-year players and they each demonstrated incredible skill. Pelaez played the number 1 position for Trinity. She earned First Team All-American and NESCAC All-Conference honors, which included being named the NESCAC Rookie of the Year and Player of the Year.
Like Pelaez, Tomlinson, Yale’s #2, had a successful first year. She was named to the All-American team and All-Ivy League team. She was named Ivy League Rookie of the Year.
In their three game match, Tomlinson controlled the tempo of the match. She won 11-9,11-3, and 11-6. She went on to capture the 2011 Ramsay Cup (Women’s Individual Championship).
