8 CSA Teams Claim Conference and Regular Season Titles

This past weekend was an action packed across college squash, with the NESCAC, MASC, and Liberty League crowning their tournament champions, while the Ivy League regular season titles were officially decided ahead of a historic upcoming postseason event.

Ivy League Regular Season Title
For the first time in conference history, the Ivy League will host a postseason squash tournament this coming weekend at Princeton, where the top four teams will compete for the ultimate tournament crown.

  • Men: Penn earned its third straight Ivy League regular season title, clinching the season outright with a 5-1 conference record after sweeping Dartmouth. The Quakers will head into this weekend’s inaugural Ivy League tournament as the No. 1 seed.

  • Women: Princeton captured the outright Ivy League regular season title in spectacular fashion, taking down No. 1 Harvard to finish league play with a perfect 6-0 record. The win marks the Tigers’ first clean sweep of the Ivy League since 2013, earning them the top seed and hosting rights for the first-ever Ivy tournament.

NESCAC Championships

Trinity continued its historic dominance in the NESCAC, as both programs successfully defended their conference crowns against Tufts.

  • The men’s team captured its 19th consecutive NESCAC Championship with an 8-1 win.
  • The women’s team claimed its 18th straight conference title with a dominant 9-0 sweep.

Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference (MASC) Championships

  • Men: UVA captured the MASC championship, securing the Holley Cup after a stellar tournament run to take the top spot in the conference.

  • Women: Stanford continued their reign in the MASC, successfully defending their title to lift the Gaynor Cup.

Liberty League Championships

  • Men: The University of Rochester extended their impressive streak, capturing their seventh straight Liberty League Championship with a 6-3 comeback win over St. Lawrence. The victory marks the Yellowjackets’ 13th overall conference crown.

  • Women: Denison made program history by capturing their first-ever Liberty League Women’s Squash Championship. The Big Red battled to a hard-fought 5-4 victory over reigning champion St. Lawrence to take home the title.

With the majority of conference tournaments concluded, all eyes now turn to the inaugural Ivy League Tournament this weekend, before teams shift their final focus to the upcoming CSA National Championships.
