Big Red No. 9 Cornell upset No. 8 Drexel Dragons in the CSA Women’s Match of the Week. In a tightly contested match with several close games, Cornell secured a 5-4 win on their home courts.
David Palmer, Head Men’s and Women’s Squash Coach, acknowledges the “close matches over the years with Drexel” and is “so happy for the hard work the team has put in this season and since coming back on January 2nd to prepare for the busy part of the season”. After a season ending injury for Cornell’s number 1, Palmer is “proud with how all the team members have stepped up” and showed up for big matches like Drexel.
The Cornell women hold a 6-1 record and will look to continue their strong momentum this weekend against tough opponents Penn and Princeton.
