University of Pennsylvania: 2022-2023 Season Preview

University of Pennsylvania Quakers

2022-2023 Season Preview

  • 2022 was a banner year for Penn Men’s Squash with Gilly Lane’s team capturing its first Ivy League title since 1974 and first outright League championship since 1969. After running the table as the No. 1-ranked team, the men’s team fell agonizingly short of the national championship.
  • The Penn women finished 2022 on a high note by outplaying their seeding at the Howe Cup and will be eager to clinch another Top-8 position earlier in the campaign this year.
  • Both Penn teams have huge, impactful shoes to fill following the graduation of multiple key contributors. The teams’ success this season hinges on the players’ ability to mesh quickly and push each other from the start.
