The College Squash Association (CSA) published its final men’s team rankings of the season on Tuesday in conjunction with the draws for the Men’s Team Championships and Club Team Championships scheduled for this weekend. With only two regular season matches left on the docket for the women, the women’s team rankings are all but set in stone as well.
For the Men’s Team Championships, No. 8 Drexel jumped into the Potter Cup (National Championship) draw with a crucial win over Cornell during the last weekend of the season. In the same timeframe, No. 14 Williams secured a place in the Hoehn Cup (B Division) competition with wins over MIT and St. Lawrence.
Indicative of how tight the women’s Howe Cup (National Championship) draw is, Columbia and Yale ended the season in an exact tie on points, with Columbia getting the edge in seeding thanks to their head-to-head win over the Bulldogs during the season. No. 10 Dartmouth jumped two spots to claim the second seed in the Kurtz Cup (B Division) and a win over Brown. NESCAC rivals Bates and Bowdoin also sneaked into the Kurtz bracket thanks to Bowdoin’s win in the NESCAC Championships and Dickinson’s upset of Franklin & Marshall.
