Entry 2017 – 2018 Intercollegiate Squash Doubles Championships is Open

Philadelphia, PA — The 2017 U.S. Intercollegiate Squash Doubles Championships will be held alongside the U.S. Open presented by Macquarie Investment Management for the seventh year in Philadelphia at Germantown Cricket Club, October 6-8.

The intercollegiate doubles championships, which were restarted in 1988 with help from Keen Butcher and Rusty Ball, will celebrate their thirtieth consecutive men’s tournament, seventh year of women’s competition, and sixth year of mixed doubles competition.

There is no entry fee, and all participants receive free General Admission tickets to the U.S. Open, October 7-8. Players must compete with a partner from the same school. Intercollegiate doubles champions receive automatic entry into the 2018 National Doubles in Philadelphia, March 2-4.

The thirty-eighth edition of the tournament, the world’s only annual collegiate doubles event, was first played in 1942. The tournament will be again presented by the U.S. Jesters Club.

Last year, Princeton’s graduating senior Marina Elena Ubina captured a record fourth women’s title with teammate Alexandra Toth—her third partner in three years. The U.S. Naval Academy continued their dynasty in the men’s draw with Randall Beck & Jack Herold claiming a third title in four years for Navy.

Entry is now available for men’s, women’s and mixed divisions on the 2017 Intercollegiate Doubles tournament page.
