Hamilton: 2016 – 2017 Women’s College Squash Season Preview

Hamilton College Clinton, NY — With five players graduating or studying abroad this season, Hamilton only has five players from the 2016 Women’s College Squash Association National Team Championships returning this season. According to head coach Jamie King, “The team is better than the sum of its parts. We should be one of the top teams in the Walker Division and have the potential to move up to the Kurtz.” Last year’s #4, Lillie Simourian, is the top returning player this season. She is the president of Hamilton’s Student-Athlete Advisory Council, and she leads a number of community service offerings. As an athletic program leader, she has helped improve student attendance at home events. One of the highlights of last season was watching the Tournament of Champions with teammates, alumni, and Hamilton’s new president. Junior Rafi Ouro-Aguy, who is studying abroad this season, even got a selfie with professional Laura Massaro. King states that the Continentals provide an “unbelievable team experience of people who genuinely care about each other.”
