Hamilton: 2016 – 2017 Men’s College Squash Season Preview

Hamilton College Clinton, NY — Despite having to replace five members of the starting nine from the 2016 Men’s College Squash Association National Team Championships, things look bright for Hamilton. The team is expecting six freshmen to join the squad, claiming positions throughout the ladder. Last season, the Continentals finished in the Conroy Cup (D Division), but they are focused on moving up the rankings and regaining a position in the Summers Cup (C Division). One of the highlights of last season was when the team stopped at Grand Central Station to watch the Tournament of Champions and were joined by former Hamilton players, trustees, and the new school president. Crucial to this season are matches with NESCAC opponents. Hamilton will be working to make it to through the main draw at NESCAC Championships. Last year’s 4-5 loss in the opening round hurt the Continentals in the rankings. Look for Hamilton to be a young team that moves up the rankings this season.
