Carlisle, PA — Launching a new varsity program is always a challenge, but Dickinson and head coach Chris Sachvie prospered last season. They won the E Division at Team Championships, which made every player ecstatic. In all likelihood, Dr. Les Poolman, Dickinson’s now retired athletic director, must have been thrilled. After all, he was instrumental in establishing Dickinson’s varsity program. Sachvie, not one to rest on his laurels, has a big goal this season: break into the top 25 in the national rankings. This may sound outlandish, but Dickinson only lost one player from their top 9 at Team Championships, and they are expecting seven new players to compete for positions in this year’s starting line-up. “The Dickinson women’s squash team managed to create such a great bond and team culture in our inaugural season. With so many new players being added we are looking to continue to work hard, have fun, and reach our team’s potential,” adds Sachvie.
