Lancaster, PA — After finishing 7th in the B Division last season, the F&M women have their eyes on the Kurtz Cup. With their top six players from last season’s team championship roster returning, they are in a good position to move up in the division. Among the returners is senior Emily Caldwell, who will be co-captaining the squad with junior Katherine O’Brien. Head coach Gavin Jones speaks highly of Caldwell: “She is a very hard worker and a dedicated student athlete. Emily has had a great college carer for F&M, and she is always there supporting team members.” F&M will also see three new players join the team. Ellen Verry, Lauren Cunningham, and Melissa Epstein are all expected to play in the top 9, adding depth to a young team that is gaining experience. The Diplomats will also be volunteering with the Squash ACES program this year, and that will be one way the squad will work toward their goal of growing closer as a team.
