Middlebury: 2015 – 2016 Women’s College Squash Season Preview

Middlebury College

Middlebury, VT — New Middlebury head coach Mark Lewis has identified a clear goal for the Panthers: to move up in the B Division. Last season, the Panthers tied for 13th in the nation, and they’ll be returning two-thirds of last season’s starting line-up in 2015 – 2016. Incoming players Beatrijs Kuijpers, Alexa Comai, and Madeleine Tan will be joining the squad, helping to fill in the gaps in the ladder left by graduating seniors Anne Wymard, Charlotte Dewey, and Katie Dewey. The Panthers had consistent success throughout the ladder last season, with the top three, middle three, and bottom three spots all clocking in with win percentages around .600. Maintaining that depth and consistency will help the team against key NESCAC opponents like Williams and Bates. Lewis says of the Panthers, “They love the game, their team and the school, and they work really hard for all of their results.”
