Colby: 2015 – 2016 Women’s College Squash Season Preview

Colby CollegeWaterville, ME — Last season, Colby improved four ranking positions from the conclusion of the 2013 – 2014 season. That, combined with their impressive play, earned the Mules the Women’s College Squash Association’s Most Improved Team Award. This season, Colby wants to continue its upward trajectory in the rankings. The Mules graduated their entire middle of the line-up from Team Championships, so returners will need to fill the void. The top third of the Mules’ line-up has two seniors, including captain Julie Wolpow, who are looking to conclude their collegiate careers on an up note. Matches with Amherst, Bowdoin, Mount Holyoke, Tufts, and Wesleyan have been identified as key for the Mules. The team performed well in 5-4 matches last season, only losing twice to Bowdoin. To get to the next level, Colby will need to use the experience from last season and win their close matches.
