Philadelphia, PA — Entering their fourth season as a varsity team, Drexel has already moved from the E Division (2009 – 2010) to the Kurtz Cup (B Division). This remarkable improvement should continue this season. After all, the Dragons return 8 of their starting 9 from last season’s Team Championships. According to head coach John White, “This year we want to work together and have a positive and competitive season. We would like a winning record, to finish higher than we did this year, and to display good sportsmanship at all times.” Throughout the season, the Dragons will be volunteering with SquashSmarts, Philadelphia’s NUSEA program. Co-captaining the team will be its two seniors: Kiran Vasudevan and Courtney Sabo. Sabo begins her second season as captain and according to White, “She had never played before joining the team at Drexel but her leadership and good attitude has brought her to the forefront of the team.” With three new players joining the team, the 2014 – 2015 Drexel Dragons should be even stronger this season.
