Johns Hopkins: 2014 – 2015 Men’s College Squash Season Preview

Johns Hopkins UniversityBaltimore, MD — After finishing last season as the 30th-ranked team in the nation, Johns Hopkins  would like to move into the top 26, their surprisingly specific goal for the year. The Blue Jays may just have the line-up they need to accomplish that goal. After losing three players from last season’s team championships, Johns Hopkins expects six incoming players to compete for spots in the starting 9. This will create a deep squad. After two seasons at the helm, senior Peter Wu is turning the team over to junior tri-captains Harrison Finkelstein, Noel Swanson, and Patrick Sernyak. Finkelstein states that Wu “was instrumental in the improvement of Johns Hopkins Squash over the past few years as captain for two seasons.”  As Johns Hopkins works to improve, their experience from last season in 5-4 matches will be valuable. The Blue Jays won two of three 5-4 matches.
