Ithaca, NY — After completing the 2013 — 2014 college squash season with a ranking of 50th and a third place finish in the Hawthorn Cup (G Division) at Team Championships, Ithaca is looking to improve this season. In addition, the Bombers would like to move up the rankings. At the beginning of the season, the squad will be without five starters from last year’s Team Championships’ roster; however, Ithaca is expecting six new players to join the team. Last season, Ithaca struggled at the top of the ladder. The top 3 only captured 31% of matches, while the middle 3 and bottom 3 won 41% and 52%, respectively. The Bombers will be without their #2 or 3 from last season, so look for the challenges at the top of the order to continue. Hopefully, Ithaca’s large group of incoming players will step up and fill key vacancies.
