Colby: 2014 – 2015 Women’s College Squash Season Preview

Colby CollegeWaterville, ME — Last season, Colby finished ranked 23rd overall and 7th in the Walker Cup (C Division). This season, the Mules would like to make a jump in the rankings and capture the Walker Cup. The team’s roster and experience gained from last season may help Colby in that quest. They only graduated a single player, Amelia Barnett, from last season’s Team Championship roster. This year, they are gaining 6 players, which will increase the depth of the team’s ladder. The team will be led by captain and senior Liz Brehman. According to head coach Sakhi Khan, Breham “as been one of the best athletes and competitors on our team. She has always had one of the best win/loss records and has always represented the school in the best of ways.” To improve upon last season, Colby will have to be more successful in NESCAC play. The Mules’ juniors and seniors will help a young squad as it strives to ascend the rankings.
