Nashville, TN — At the 2012 Men’s National Team Championships, Vanderbilt won the consolation finals in the Serues Cup (F Division). However, last season, the team was stuck in neutral. The Commodores only played three regular season matches and did not qualify for the National Team Championships. Hopefully, the 2013 – 2014 season will be more fruitful. Captain Samuel Alexander Bogrov reports that the team is planning matches with Sewannee and the College of Charleston. With five players returning from last season’s squad, the Commodores will need to fill the remaining positions in their line-up with new players. Also new this year is the team’s practice facility. The Vanderbilt Student Recreation Center was renovated this summer and the school now has two international squash courts. This should only help the Commodores rebuild their program.
