Bowdoin: 2013 – 2014 Men’s College Squash Season Preview

Bowdoin CollegeBrunswick, ME — The 2013 co-receipients of the Sloane Award, the Bowdoin Polar Bears look to build on last season’s success and sportsmanship. Although Bowdoin is known for their sportsmanship, last season was the first time they were recognized with the Sloane Award. From last season’s championship line-up, Bowdoin loses two of its top three players. To fill the void, players will be moving up the ladder and four prep school alums will also be joining the squad. As always, coach Tomas Fortson plans to develop his team throughout the season. He wants the Polar Bears to “work as a team, get better and compete well.” Bowdoin will be focused on all matches throughout the coming season, but NESCAC matches will be of critical importance if the Polar Bears want to improve on last season’s ranking of 20th.
