College Squash Hall of Fame Player Profile: Charles Ufford

The College Squash Association’s Hall of Fame is located at the University of Pennsylvania. The CSA is complementing the Hall of Fame plaques with brief online synopses of Hall of Fame players, coaches, and friends.

At Harvard, Charles Ufford made three appearances in the intercollegiate singles championship final. As a sophomore in 1952, he lost to teammate Charles Foster. As a junior and senior, he captured the championship. He helped the Crimson capture the 1951 title and share the 1953 nine-player team championships.

A gifted athlete, Ufford was a collegiate All-American  soccer player in 1952. He also captained the Harvard tennis team.

In 1959, Ufford graduated from Harvard Law School.
