Vermont: 2012 – 2013 Men’s College Squash Season Preview

Burlington, VT — Vermont had a challenging 2011-2012 season. The Catamounts posted a 2-and-11 record, and their 6th place finish in the Hawthorn Cup left them outside the top 50. Their 54th-place finish was a two-spot drop from their final ranking from the previous season. The good news? The entire starting line-up will be back, and two new players — Robbie Fischer and Olivia Burt — will be joining the team. “Although we are a club team, we like to work hard, compete, and play great squash,” says Devon Winter, who will serve as co-captain with Sam Kazman this season. The team has an eye toward the future, looking to develop relationships with other coaches and teams as well as improving their results at championships. Vermont will also be participating in fundraising and service events. “We will be holding various fundraisers as well as working toward a squash program to benefit children in the Burlington area,” Winter announces.
