2012 All-Seven Sisters Women’s College Squash Team Announced

South Hadley, MA — At the 2012 Seven Sisters Tournament, which was held during the season, an All-Tournament team was named.

The Seven Sisters is a consortium of women’s liberal arts colleges that was founded in 1915. Originally, the Seven Sisters included Barnard, Bryn Mawr, Mount Holyoke, Radcliffe, Smith, Vassar, and Wellesley. Since 1980, the original Seven Sisters schools joined to conduct championships in common sports.

In squash, Mount Holyoke, Smith, Vassar, and Wellesley participated in the 2012 tournament, which Mount Holyoke won for a record-setting sixth-consecutive year. Wellesley finished second in the tournament, followed by Smith and then Vassar.

Three seniors were among the players recognized for all-tournament honors: Clair Oblamski (Smith), Nina Punukollu (Vassar), and Shara Robertson (Mount Holyoke). All three served as captains of their respective teams, and Oblamski won the 2012 Wetzel Award as the Women’s College Squash Association’s best senior player to learn the game in college.

Congratulations to all who earned All-Seven Sisters honors!
