Women’s College Squash 2012 Individual Championships: Cornell and Bates (Video)

Amherst, MA — At the 2012 College Squash Individual Championships, Cornell’s Danielle Letourneau and Bates’ Nessrine Ariffin played in the opening round of the Ramsay Cup (A Draw) second consolations.

Both players were first-year students and burst on to the scene, helping their schools win crucial matches. Letourneau played number one all season and helped the Big Red defeat Stanford 5-4 at Howe Cup.  She was named a first team All-American. Ariffin also played number one all season and earned second team All-American honors. She is only the second Bates player to be named a WCSA All-American.

At the Individual Championships, Letourneau defeated Ariffin in four games (6-11, 14-12, 11-7, and 11-3).
