Men’s College Squash – 2011 Wesleyan Round Robin: Johns Hopkins and Hobart #2s (Video)

Middletown, CT — At the 2011 Wesleyan Round Robin, Hobart and Johns Hopkins met for the second time this season.

In their first meeting of the season, Hobart defeated Johns Hopkins 8-1. The Statesmen’s sole individual loss came at the #9 position.  In the rematch, Hobart was without their #1 player, Corey Kabot, who was injured during the team’s 7-2 victory over Colgate.  This shifted McGee O’Neil and Daniel Pelaez up one spot in the lineup. Hobart again emerged victorious; this time by a 6-3 margin.

At the Wesleyan Round Robin, Johns Hopkins went 1-3. They defeated Fordham, but lost to Bucknell, Hobart, and Wesleyan. Hobart went 3-1. They defeated Bucknell, Colgate, and Johns Hopkins, but lost to Wesleyan.

Here is video from the match between Daniel Pelaez (Hobart) and Nathan Li (Johns Hopkins). Pelaez won the match in 3 games (11-8, 11-8, and 11-3).
