[rankingimage] Northampton, MA — Today, the second [mtr] of the season were released.

The top-27 schools in the rankings remain unchanged.  Most of these schools begin play this weekend.

The Naval Academy’s two round robins produced many changes to the rankings. Drexel made the biggest jump moving from 43rd to 29th. Contributing to the move were the Dragons’ victories over Haverford, Fordham, Georgetown, and Washington. Johns Hopkins defeated Drexel to move to 28th, while Georgetown dropped two spots to 30th.

Washington St. Louis also had success in Annapolis. The Bears were victorious over Fordham, Bard, UNC, and Duke. These wins earned Washington St. Louis the 40th position in the latest rankings.

The University of Illinois (Champaign) jumped from 54th to 46th. With four victories at the Jester’s Mid America Collegiate Cup in October and a 5-4 victory over Denison, UIC moves up ten spots.

Virginia returns to the rankings after missing last season’s National Team Championships. They debut at 46th. Making their inaugural appearance in the rankings is the University of Dayton. The Flyers lost to the University of Illinois (Springfield) in their first match.
