2009-2010 Women’s College Squash Team Rankings (2/2/2010)

Northampton, MA — Thanks to an exciting week in women’s college squash, there were many matches with serious ranking implications.

Harvard maintained their top ranking with a 7-2 victory over 2nd-ranked Trinity.  Princeton moved from 7th to 4th thanks to Saturday’s 5-4 victory over Yale.

Cornell, Stanford, Princeton, and Yale have created an interesting conundrum for the ranking committee.  The four schools have traded matches this season.  Overall, Princeton and Yale are 2-1, while Cornell and Stanford are 1-2.  Princeton beat Yale head-to-head and Cornell beat Stanford head-to-head.  These results determined the 4th – 7th ranking order of Princeton, Yale, Cornell, and Stanford.

On Saturday, Bates hosted Mount Holyoke.  Bates’ victory moved the Bobcats to 11th and dropped Mount Holyoke to 12th.
