Trinity: 2009 – 2010 Women’s College Squash Season Preview

TrinityHartford, CT — Trinity’s women are intent on moving higher in the rankings this season.  Considering they were ranked number three in the country last season, the Bantams are gunning for another title run.  They did not lose a single player to graduation last season, so the squad is well positioned to complete the task.

Jo-Ann Jee will captain the experienced squad that returns three All-Americans (Nour Baghat, Nayelly Hernandez, and Tehani Guruge) and six All-NESCAC team members (Bahgat,  Hernandez, Jo-Ann Jee, Guruge, Emery Holton, and Pamela Jimenez) from last season.  First-year students Pamela Hathway, Robyn Hodgson and Michelle Williams are also expected to compete for spots in the  ladder.

Last season, Baghat defeated Penn’s Kristen Lange to earn the individual title (Ramsay Cup), the first for a Trinity player since Amina Helal’s win in 2003. Baghat will be looking to defend her title.
