Waltham, MA – The coed Brandeis squash club, one of the newest programs to join the College Squash Association, is looking forward to growing this season.
Andy Hogan, last year’s captain, has stepped down to be Student Government President, and sophomore Ellen Franz has taken the helm of young, enthusiastic squad. Brandeis will be working with a coach for the first time this season, and the team is excited about learning new strategies and skills.
Brandeis will be able to gauge its improvement when it takes on BU in the fall. When the two teams played last year, the number 1 match was quite close, and Brandeis is eager to see the outcome of this year’s competition. As Franz writes, “We may be new to the squash scene, but we are really excited about getting out there and playing some really good matches against other schools.”
