About the Jesters Club
The U.S. Jesters Club, founded in 1935, is a national social and philanthropic organization dedicated to promoting and supporting the sport of squash, particularly at the collegiate level. For more than a dozen years, the Jesters have played a crucial role in fostering the growth of intercollegiate club squash across the United States.
The club aims to help undergraduates learn or accelerate their squash skills, enabling them to become lifelong players and active members of the squash community, and to sustain collegiate squash by organizing memorable round-robin events that allow teams to qualify for and participate in national championships.
The U.S. Jesters Club is renowned for its commitment to sportsmanship, camaraderie, and the enjoyment of the game. Through their social and philanthropic efforts, the Jesters organize and sponsor events that not only celebrate the sport’s history and traditions but also ensure its continued growth and accessibility for future generations.
CSA Club Team Round-Robins
The Jesters are excited to support 6–8 Club Team Round-Robins across the country this season. Their goal is to help make these weekends memorable by assisting with event costs and creating a strong competitive and social experience for participating teams.
The Jesters will provide organizers with Harrow eye guards and financial support based on the number of teams participating, with funding increased this year to help cover the cost of squash balls. Funds should primarily be used toward a meal for the players and other event-related expenses, such as court fees, squash balls, or athletic trainers. Funds are not intended to cover team travel expenses.
The Jesters hope these weekends will foster a sense of community among participating teams, including through a social gathering that brings players together outside of competition. Local Jesters are also encouraged to attend and support the players throughout the weekend. Ideally, this support will enhance each team’s experience and help teams work toward their competitive goals, including qualification for the CSA Club Team Championships.
Organizers receiving Jesters support are asked to share photos from the weekend, submit match results, and a write a brief event recap within a 48 hours following the round-robin.
Teams interested in hosting a Club Team Round-Robin with support from the Jesters should contact Christina Brownell at [email protected] by October 1, 2026. Requests will be considered on a rolling basis, and once funding for 6–8 events has been committed, additional requests will be placed on a waitlist. Teams are therefore encouraged to apply early.

Club Team Coaching Grants
The US branch of The Jesters Club would once again like to support collegiate club squash programs by providing funding to compensate coaches for the 2026–27 season. Last year, The Jesters provided $11,000 in funding through 11 grants of $1,000 each. In their continued commitment to growing college squash and supporting both established and emerging programs, The Jesters have increased their support this year to $12,000, providing 12 grants of $1,000 each.
To be eligible for a grant, the coach must not be a current member of the team and must commit to either leading a reasonable number of practices throughout the season or traveling with the team to a weekend tournament or round-robin.
Please note that grant checks will be made payable directly to the coach. For that reason, applications must include the coach’s complete and accurate full name, mailing address, and phone number so that payment can be processed and received in a timely manner.
