Eligibility Guidelines & Regulations
All participating club programs, captains, and athletes must adhere to the rules detailed below throughout the season.
Players Per Team
- Each team is comprised of nine (9) players.
- For a team match to officially count for ranking and championship qualification, each team must field a minimum of seven (7) players.
- Matches with fewer than seven (7) players will not be counted.
Player Eligibility
- Players must be enrolled at the college or university they are representing.
- Club programs are not permitted to have graduate students on their competition rosters.
Years of Eligibility
Players have a maximum of four (4) years of eligibility.
Medical Hardship Waivers
Players on club teams are not eligible to receive medical hardship waivers.
Divisions
The CSA Club Team league has two separate divisions:
- Mixed Division: Includes both men’s and co-ed teams.
- Women’s Division: Includes women's teams only.
Genders & Team Representation
For clubs with both men’s and women’s teams, a woman may play on a men’s team under the following conditions:
- At the beginning of the season, the player chooses which gender team she will represent.
- Once she has played an official match for one gender, she may not play on the team of the opposite gender until the following season, when a new decision can be made.
