Princeton, NJ — The 2011 Women’s College Squash Team Championship Howe Cup (“A” Division) semifinal was contested between Trinity and Harvard.
During the regular season match a mere 10 days earlier, Harvard defeated Trinity, 7-2. In the match at the number three position, Jennifer Pelletier (Trinity) defeated Alisha Mashruwala (Harvard) in a five-game match (8-11, 10-12, 11-8, 12-10, and 11-9).
In the Howe Cup match, Mashruwala wanted to reverse the regular season match results. She won hard fought first and third games to capture the match in three games (11-8, 11-2, and 11-8). Harvard moved to the Howe Cup finals with a 6-3 victory.
Trinity lost to Princeton to finish fourth, while Harvard lost to Yale to finish second in the nation.
