After an exciting opening weekend that saw Denison host Virginia and Rochester, the 2025 college squash season is officially underway. That first slate of matches highlighted the continued growth of collegiate squash in the Midwest and set the stage for another weekend of competitive play.
This second week of match play remains a lighter schedule, featuring eight varsity men’s matches and four varsity women’s matches, along with a number of club competitions.
The Naval Academy will host Fordham, Denison, and Georgetown (Women) in addition to several club teams, while Vassar will welcome Bard and other club programs for a full weekend of matches. These multi-team weekends provide valuable opportunities for programs to evaluate their lineups and gain early match experience before the schedule intensifies.
Several close matchups on the men’s side could have an immediate impact on the rankings. In particular, the meetings between Rochester (No. 19), Western (No. 18), and MIT (No. 13) are expected to be closely contested and could lead to early-season movement in the standings.
This is the final light weekend before the collegiate season fully ramps up. Ivy League teams can officially begin their regular season on November 14, followed by NESCAC programs on November 15.
