Mount Holyoke: 2016 – 2017 Women’s College Squash Season Preview

Mount Holyoke College South Hadley, MA — Last season, Mount Holyoke captured the Epps Cup (D Division) consolation crown at the Women’s College Squash Association National Team Championships.  This season, the team wants to improve upon that finish. Head coach Erin Robson recognizes that the Lyons need to “play more consistently in our big matches.” Mount Holyoke fell to Wellesley in the Seven Sisters tournament. This season, the Lyons would like to regain the Seven Sisters title, which they last won in the 2012 – 2013 season. The team will face a number of familiar opponents this year, including Vassar, Conn College, and Wellesley. The team will also be visiting Dickinson for the first time. Captaining the squad will be Allison Shilling. According to Robson, who now sits third on Mount Holyoke’s all-time squash coaching victories list, Shilling “has demonstrated tremendous leadership to the team as she served as the squash team’s SAAC representative for three years.” Mount Holyoke hopes to return to their winning ways this season.
