Johns Hopkins: 2014 – 2015 Women’s College Squash Season Preview

Johns Hopkins UniversityBaltimore, MD — This season, Johns Hopkins returns eight of nine players players from its starting line-up at last year’s team championships. In fact, of those returners, there is not a senior amongst them. This will allow the Blue Jays to continue honing their skills. According to co-captain Gabby Nyirjesy, “We’re looking forward to playing a variety of matches and testing our skills against teams we haven’t played before.” As always, Johns Hopkins has its match with Georgetown circled on the calendar. The two beltway teams are usually in the same peer group of squads. To improve in the rankings, Johns Hopkins will need more production from the top and bottom of its ladder. Last season, the 1s, 8s, and 9s combined to win 31% of their individual matches, compared to 54% for the remaining positions in the ladder.
