2014 NESCAC Women’s College Squash All-Conference Team Announced

Hadley, MA — Earlier this spring, the New England Small College Athletic Conference announced its 2013-2014 All-Conference Team.

Trinity’s Kanzy El Defrawy won her second consecutive NESCAC Player of the Year honor. She is the second NESCAC player to win this honor twice, with the other player being her teammate Catalina Pelaez, the 2014 Richey Award winner. Trinity players have won this award in each of the seven years of its presentation. El Defrawy helped lead Trinity to the Howe Cup (national championship). For the second consecutive season, she finished the year ranked second in the nation individually.

There were five seniors on the All-NESCAC squads: Mary Foster (Wesleyan), Abby Jenkins (Middlebury), Wee Nee Low (Trinity), Alyssa Northrop (Williams), and Catalina Pelaez (Trinity). Foster, Jenkins, and Pelaez earned the distinction of being named to the All-NESCAC team for four straight years.

Hamilton head coach Jamie King was named the 2014 NESCAC Coach of the Year. King was previously awarded this honor in 2011. He becomes the first coach presented to received the NESCAC Women’s Coach of the Year honor twice.
