Northampton, MA — In late January, Smith College hosted the Smith College Invitational. Seven women’s teams participated in the event: Cal Berkeley, Conn College, Drexel, Smith, St. Lawrence, Virginia, and William Smith.
Drexel won the rare in-season team tournament. The Dragons faced Conn College in the second round. In the match at the #1 position, Damindhi Udangawa (Drexel) faced Caroline Sargent (Conn College). Udangawa captured the match in three games (11-8, 11-3, and 11-4). Drexel defeated Conn College, 7-2.
