Conn College Names Barry Ward and Ted Childs as Squash Coaches

Connecticut College New London, CT — On Thursday, Connecticut College announced that Barry Ward will be the head men’s squash coach and Ted Childs will be the head women’s squash coach.

Ward has been with the Camels since 1998. Last season, he was named co-head coach of the men’s team. He takes full control of a Conn College squad that went 12-15 last season with a 7th place finish in the Summers Cup (C Division) of the Men’s CSA National Team Championships.

Childs is no stranger to college squash either. He played the majority of his college squash career at Hobart College and was the 1994 captain of the Statesman. He has coached at Squash Busters, Miss Porter’s School, The Williams School, and multiple private clubs. Last season, the Camels went 9-16 and finished eighth in the Walker Cup (C Division) of the Women’s CSA National Team Championships.
