Princeton: 2012 – 2013 Women’s College Squash Season Preview

Princeton, NJ — “We will not put any limits on what we can expect from ourselves this season,” says Princeton head coach Gail Ramsay. “We have a lot of talent and when combined with hard work, anything is possible!”  Whatever competitive outcome the season holds for last year’s Howe Cup semifinalists, there is a lot to look forward to. On October 13, Princeton will be celebrating forty years of women’s squash as part of the 120-year alumni celebration. Also in October, the team will cheer on Libby Eyre, who received a local spot to compete in the US Open at Drexel, and at the end of the month, the Princeton women will head to South Africa for a team trip over fall break. Four new team members will be joining in all the action this season: Rachel Leizman, Isabella Bersani, Libbie Maine, and  Tara Harrington. Some of those names should sound familiar to Princeton squash fans. Maine’s sister Emery graduated in 2010, and Harrington’s brother Steve plays on the men’s team. “I have a great group of very talented athletes and squash players and our hard work will determine the level of success this season,” says Ramsay.
