Northampton, MA — At the 2012 Pioneer Valley College Squash Invitational, Haverford and Hobart played a match. The two squads played the second match on Smith’s new “Pioneer blue” courts.
At the event, Haverford went 0-4. The Black Squirrels played Hobart, Wesleyan, Colby, and Conn. Despite the 0-9 scores, Haverford was in the matches.
Hobart went 2-2 with victories over Haverford and Vassar. The Statesman lost to Wesleyan and Amherst.
The match at the number one position featured Haverford’s Alex Spiliotes and Hobart’s Corey Kabot. Both players are seniors and co-captains of their respective teams. Kabot won the match in 3 games (11-6, 11-6, and 11-9)
