Middletown, CT — At the 2011 Wesleyan Round Robin, one of the most anticipated matches of the weekend was between Brown and Mount Holyoke. The two teams were separated by only a few positions in the rankings.
Although Brown won the match 6-3, it was extremely close. Mount Holyoke lost two five-game matches, which could have vaulted the Lyons to victory.
At the match at the #2 position, Mount Holyoke’s Shara Robertson faced Brown’s Sarah Domenick. Robertson looked in control of the match. She won the first game in tie-breakers and the third game 11-7 to take a 2-1 lead. Domenick battled back to win the fourth and fifth games to capture the match (10-12, 11-9, 7-11, 11-5, and 11-8).
