Stanford: 2011 – 2012 Women’s College Squash Season Preview

Stanford, CA — Stanford will continue to rack up frequent flier miles as the Cardinal travels east to try to crack the top 5.  Stanford tied its program-best finish — 6th — last year, and making it into the top 5 would set a new standard for the program.

Stanford will start their season with a marathon weekend at Williams in mid-November, when they will take on Harvard, Hamilton, Middlebury, Cornell, Williams, and Mount Holyoke over the space of three jam-packed days. When it comes time for championships, the Cardinal will certainly be tournament-tested.

Four new players will be joining the team that “has the most fun in the sun,” adding depth to the roster. Richard Elliott also joined the program as an assistant coach last year.

“We are a happy group that works hard but enjoys each other and the sport,” says head coach Mark Talbott.
