Sports Illustrated’s Faces in the Crowd Covers Harvard First-Year Student

Cambridge, MA — In the recent issue of Sports Illustrated, Harvard first-year student Laura Gemmell was included in the “Faces in the Crowd” section of the magazine. Dating to 1956, “Faces in the Crowd” has featured thousands of top amateur athletes.

During an impressive season, Gemmell went 16 – 0.  She helped the Crimson win the College Squash Association Team Championship (Howe Cup) and won the Ramsay Cup (individual title).

Last season, Antonio Diaz-Gonzalez Salas, then a Connecticut College freshman, was featured in “Faces in the Crowd.” He now competes at Trinity College.
