Burlington, VT — Last season, the University of Vermont captured the Emerging Teams title at the Howe Cup. This season, the Catamounts hope to field a full nine-women team and compete in the Epps Cup. The team is gearing up for the Boston University Round Robin, where they are anticipating matches against Boston University, Swarthmore, and Bryant.
Vermont’s sole graduating player from last season is Pearson Smith. According to Page Smith, “she was a rock for our team.” Page and Eliza Shaw will take over as the captains of the Catamounts this season. With four of last year’s five players returning, Vermont hopes to recruit players to join an exciting program.
