Hobart: 2012 – 2013 Men’s College Squash Season Preview

Geneva, NY — Last season, Hobart captured the Conroy Cup (D Division) with a 5-4 victory over Tufts. This was quite a way for Tim Riskie, Hobart’s first year coach, to start his college squash coaching career. Losing seven players from last season, this year the Statesmen will look to restock their lineup as they look to exceed last season’s success. They will be joined by two players returning from abroad, as well as five first-year students with squash experience. In late October, the Statesmen will be volunteering to help build a playground in nearby Lake Seneca. The team is looking forward to an Alumni match, which is scheduled for November 3rd. According to Riskie, the team is “an enthusiastic bunch of guys ready to compete hard and enjoy every moment of the season.  Under the leadership of our captain and upperclassmen, we are excited to welcome some new faces.  The culture of the Hobart squash team is quickly shaping to revolve around energy, hard work, and fun.”
