Hatfield, MA — For the week ending 2/12/2017, Haverford’s Isabel Agnew and Trinity’s Michael Craig have been named the women’s and men’s [hpow].

A [hpow] should have a significant impact on his or her team’s performance during the prior week and demonstrate sportsmanship. Coaches and Sports Information Directors may nominate players.

Isabel Agnew (Haverford College): Over the weekend, Haverford faced Boston College. In a very close team match, Haverford’s senior co-captain, Isabel Agnew, faced Boston College’s Sabrina Didizian at the match at the #3 position. The pair played a five-game match, which Agnew claimed 13-11 in the final game (6-11, 15-13, 11-4, 8-11, and 13-11) to help the Fords defeated the Eagles, 5-4. She also added a five-game victory against Bucknell to conclude her senior day.

Michael Craig (Trinity College): When top-ranked Harvard and 2nd-ranked Trinity squared off last week, everyone expected the match to be tight. At the match at the #4 position, Trinity’s Michael Craig was down 0-2 in games to Harvard’s Tim Brownell. Craig rallied and won the next three games to clinch the match (7-11, 8-11, 11-4, 11-7, and 11-9) for the Bantams, ending the Crimson’s undefeated season with a 5-4 Trinity win.
