Franklin & Marshall: 2015 – 2016 Men’s College Squash Season Preview

Franklin and Marshall College

Lancaster, PA — With five players not returning for the 2015 – 2016 season, Franklin & Marshall will need their returning and new players to step up if the team wants to remain in the Potter Cup (A Division) at Team Championships. In addition to their play on the court, the Diplomats are focused on academics. According to head coach Gavin Jones, one of this season’s goal is “to grow closer as a team and improve as student athletes.” One of the bonding initiatives will be volunteering with Squash ACES, a program that helps mentor kids on and off the squash courts. Co-captaining the Diplomats will be Pedro Veiga, who is an avid volunteer with Squash ACES and a gifted student athlete. According to Jones, Veiga “is always thinking about others before himself.” Veiga and co-captain Cole Osborne must lead a young team as the squad faces a challenging regular season schedule.
