Bowdoin: 2014 – 2015 Men’s College Squash Season Preview

Bowdoin CollegeBrunswick, ME — Last season, Bowdoin graduated 3 players from its Team Championship lineup, including #1 Stephan Danyluk. This year’s squad will need to replace that talent. They are expecting four players with prep school squash experience to join the squad. The team’s home, the Lubin Family Squash Center, was renovated during the offseason. If the Polar Bears would like to advance in the rankings, they will need to be more successful in matches in the top 3rd of the ladder. Last year, the top 3 players combined to win 39% of matches. Also important to this year’s squad’s success is close matches. Last season in 5-4 matches, the Polar Bears won 2 of 7 matches. Those losses were to Wesleyan (twice), Drexel, and George Washington (twice), all teams that finished the year within the five ranking positions ahead of Bowdoin.  Bowdoin is only a few individual wins away from moving much higher in the rankings.
